Arizona Height Modernization Partnerships
The Arizona State Cartographer's Office (SCO) is seeking to leverage its
resources by seeking partners for the Arizona Height Modernization
Project (AZHMP) for the purpose of conducting geodetic surveys and to
develop, manage and maintain AZCORS sites throughout Arizona. AZHMP is
developing three partnership activities under this outreach activity; 1)
GNSS Base Station procurement partners, 2) AZCORS hosting partners, and
3) AZHMP survey mini-grants.
GNSS base station procurement partners will use their funds and the
AZHMP equipment contract to procure GNSS base stations for their locale
making the data available to AZHMP's Arizona Spatial Reference Center
(ASRC). AZCORS hosting partners will provide a facility for an AZCORS
and AZHMP will provide the GNSS equipment for the site; this partnership
is limited to 8 AZCORS under current funding and will be many months
before sites are considered for selection (selection criteria and
partnership announcement are under development). The AZHMP survey
mini-grants will provide funding (up to $10K) to support Height
Modernization surveys conducted by grant recipients; partnership
announcement, grant application procedures, and selection criteria are
under development.
